I have chronic neck pain, headaches, nausea, and stomach pain.
I'm planning on getting a deep tissue massage for my birthday. I'm getting it just for some relaxation, but then I got to thinking, will that help at all with the everyday pain I have?

Be sure and tell them you have chronic neck pain. They might want to avoid that area or at least be more careful with it. In general I find them to be very relaxing, which might help with your everyday pain for a short period of time just because it relaxes the body. If it does help you might want to try relaxtation CDs as a way to relax at home.

I tried it. It can be affordable, because its like a $1 a minute. ...but I let them go until I was broke. They were nice enough to give me a discount. I would plan a 2 hour session though.
I did not know if I could do it. ...because I did not like people touching me. I thought it would be helpful for that. ...and it probably is...So I was conflicting against myself with it.
...and I continued to be like that after wards. If you do not have that problem. It might be even better for you...I tried to go back a few times...and I made excuses to turn around and not do it.

I have an injured arm. ...I did ask them to avoid pressing on it. They were good with that.

... I still highly recommend it...but I would plan for a 2 hour or more massage session.
It is amazing...I just got issues...hahaha

As I have found with physical therapy, some places are better than others. Do some research and shop around. Make sure they are licensed, at least it means they know the basics, etc.

Hi Stronger! I get awful headaches, due to neck pain. I've done physical therapy twice, acupuncture and massage. Deep- tissue massage is good, but it usually doesn't last. If your headaches are really bad and frequent, I would recommend getting a neurologist. I did. They can really help you . They can check you out, put you on some preventative meds and do some procedures that can really help. Might be something to think about. Good luck!
