I'm 18, I hope this isn't the wrong place to post this, but I am in some sort of "chronic pain". Please forgive me for being weird, but this starts every month 2 weeks before my cycle (period), and stays for almost two weeks after. I feel just awful, my body will feel like sand bags some days, a lot of stomach/ headache issues (although it's my headaches, my head just feels like crap), and lately O've been losing all of my appetite. I can't wat anything at all. I've been reduced to eating mashed potatoes because at the only thing o can eat without feelin like crap. I just want this to end. I know anxiety could make this worse, and since I'm emetephobic that makes it 110% worse, but I don't know what to do. I don't want to take Midol because one time I took it and it gave me the worst headache ever. I'm not sure what else I could take, my mom tells me to take I Ibueprofen all the time, which I don't want to do but it does work, but O can't take Ibueprofen for the rest of my life. There is only like one week in the month I actually feel okay. Maybe 2, if I'm lucky I'm in real need of help because I'm hungry, but have no appetite which makes me kind of nauseas. Please help.

I'd encourage you to see a doctor about this. Taking Midol or Ibuprofen might help with the pain, but you need to find out what is causing the pain.

I'll tell you I am older, in my 40s and just learned this, and have been monitoring myself, and its around 10-14 days after your period that you are likely ovulating. Its when your egg(s) are released. Its mid month and if I was guessing I would say that, but you can ask your doc too. When I was about your age and into my 20s, I would be spotting too at times mid way.

I agree with both posters here that at the 2 week point ovulating can cause some discomfort but its best to have a good checkup with your doctor. Have full blood work done as well because your description of "legs feeling like sandbags", sounds like possible low iron.
My daughter gets very bad cramps the first day of her period and her doctor prescribed Mefenamic Acid also known as the name brand Ponstan. How long have you felt like this? Do consult with a doctor because he/she would know best.

Zoloft and Ibuprofen help me with my PMDD.

Honey,
I used to get serve cramps and didn't want to eat either. If I touch my stomach I can get sick. I think it's will be best to either tell your PCP Dr. or the GYN. I had to get Depro Provera shots for a while. That stop my period. Now I'm 53 years old and only got my period 3 time so far. I wish you luck but please tell the Dr. loveyouhun Quote:
