I have had fibromyalgia my whole life, but was only recently diagnosed. I am 21, and have so far been faced with:" Fubromyalgia? Yeah, my grandmother has that." So my question is, are there any people in my age range with FM?

21 is a young age for such an illness. I do know of people in their 30's with it, and knew someone that was in her late 20's when diagnosed. Are you familiar with PC's sister site, NeuroTalk? If unable to find others in their 20's here, might find others there.

I haven't, but thank you very much for the suggestion. I will look there. c:

I am 24 and was diagnosed around a year ago. It can really suck for young sufferers because no one ever wants to take your pain seriously, like there is a minimum age on chronic pain or something.

I'm 24 and only just diagnosed but have been suffering from it for as long as I can remember. It took so long to get diagnosed because everyone ignored my pain for years because I was so young...
