My pain management doc gave me this cream and I forgot to ask him about possible long-term side effects. I will see him again, but in the interim, thought I'd post here to see if anyone can shed some light.
The ingredients: solaraze 3% gel 25 gm celebrex 2% gabapentin 3% cyclobenzaprine 1% QS Lidocaine 3% 120 gm Compounded at the Life Line Pharmacy |

gabapentin is for neuropathy.....nerve pain
lidocaine is a local pain killer celebrex is for arthritis (joint paint) solaraze is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug cyclobenzaprine is a skeletal muscle relaxant and a central nervous system (CNS) depressant. |

This cream does not have a 'name', the doc gave it to me. He had this concoction made by a compounding pharmacy. |

Of course the lidocaine is a pain reliever, as is the gabapentin for neuropathic pain. I'm a bit concerned about the celebrex, since it was recalled as a pill. Looks like a good concoction for pain relief! Hope it helps!
