Hello, I was wondering if anyone has Interstitial Cystitis or similar chronic bladder conditions. After about 2 and a half to 3 years of symptoms I was diagnosed about 3 months ago or so. It feels good to have a diagnosis finally, however I am still of course suffering from the condition. I was recently prescribed Uribel and am going back to the urogynecologist in a month. I am also staying on a strict IC friendly diet because of a flare up that seems to be happening, most likely because of a pelvic exam I had last week, and an upcoming period. I wanted to know what works for others regarding flare ups and just regular maintenance of IC or chronic bladder pain.

Hello, Cactus_tree, and welcome to Psych Central! I'm sorry you are going through this. I hear it's quite a challenge.
I have not been diagnosed but something is going on with my bladder. I'll learn what I can about it and get back to you. ![]() Have you seen this info from the Mayo Clinic, a reliable source? http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-c...t/con-20022439 |
