Chronic pain. I guess that's why it's called chronic?

It feels like I've been in a flare for a month now. I sure hope this isn't becoming my new normal level. It gets old, doesn't it? Which is not new, but very old and returned. I sure hope that it isn't the pain med losing potency. (Nah, it isn't. Obvious check on that today.) It gets old, doesn't it?

I don't like needing physical therapy 3x a week and suffering more when I don't have it. It gets old, doesn't it?

I wish everyone's support wouldn't feel old hat, either. I mean, it's the same old pain for me. Surely others are tired of it as much as I am? It gets old, doesn't it?

ty It gets old, doesn't it?

I guess I get so resigned to the fact of my chronic pain, I forget to manage it sometimes? I went to session today (clinical psychologist who works also with pain and stress management) and he had to ask if I had taken my pain med? Well, no I had forgotten...I had to drive.

With his encouragement I took some, and then more once back home. I added the toradol too, though now I'm out. But I see MD at 11 am. Ok I'm rambling. But it is 4 am...and I need to sleep.

It's tough to accept support some times you know? I see myself feeling many things I counsel others about It gets old, doesn't it? Thus, I don't post about myself all that much... I am reminded when I post to another. It gets old, doesn't it?

Thanks all!

Ithought I was escaping it..but went right back into it (without PT) so Now I've had PT (on Thursday) and I'm feeling some better pain-wise... but I have a terrible sore throat (since seeing MD Tuesday) and no meds. It gets old, doesn't it? I want God to heal the throat, I just don' t have energy.

I'm too out of it to go get new script of pain med. I took it in (Tuesday?) but ins co wouldn't fill it yet... so that means an additional trip to pharm. I'm not up to it. Sigh.

It gets old, doesn't it?

I don't want to use the toradol again now... did get to pharmacy for reg. pain med. Been on and off ice packs all day. It's nearly 6 am and I haven't slept yet... back won't let me It gets old, doesn't it? (Throat is good though It gets old, doesn't it?)

ty

Doing pretty good today... had 2 days of way off sleep/times... but I'm up now and off to PT soon... so we'll see.

I really have to guard against tightening my body up and not react towards the storm Noel due to at least brush the coast this week. Winds here are high and constant... and we've had intermittent rains... but they aren't predicting it hitting us full. The back side (left side) is the weakest in these storms, and that's all they predict. Let's hope their right this time. It gets old, doesn't it? I can get through this. Yes, I can...without a flare.
