Mothers Day.... My friend honestly tried to make it better. We went to WalMart because I was too sick to drive myself for the last couple days. She insisted we take the back roads because she was trying to keep me out of the apartment and waiting fruitlessly by the phone. The problem was, she went to the very favorite places that my son and I used to go. Everywhere.... In my mind I could see him running and playing and hear his laughter and I thought I would die before I got back home.
Anyway... Miss Belle has been very, very, very naughty. I don't know what is wrong with her. I really don't. She ran away out the door yesterday. I tried to run after her and of course forgot that I couldn't run. I kept yelling her name and going as fast as I could and she kept on running. There are some people with a little chihuahua that Belle would dearly love to play with, but the dog is afraid of Belle. I could hear a woman screaming and yelling and she was yelling at Belle to get away from her dog. All she had to do was pick up her dog! The woman was sitting down, for heaven's sake! Her son, who is a gem and who pets Belle all the time, caught her for me. I apologized to the woman, but I felt like smacking her, to be honest. If she had hit Belle, I just don't know what would have happened. Belle hasn't dived out the door for a year! Why now? Then, she peed on the bed. Twice! I had to strip everything and clean the mattress because for some reason it went right through the mattress protector. It took two days to get the mattress good and dry. I locked her out of the bedroom and put her papers on the floor and she pooped behind the chair! So, I had to clean that up, of course. That's just not like her and I won't live in filth. Today I covered the bed with a plastic drop cloth before I left and she peed on that! So, I had to clean that all up when I got home. I am still feeding her chicken, but not as much, to force her to eat a little kibble. I am going to try to find puppy kibble for her tomorrow. Maybe that will work. I am at my wit's end. I just don't know what's wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. __________________ I still dream and I still hope, therefore I can take what comes today. Belle is all white with very pink skin. She is short haired so you can easily see her skin. I just read that she is very prone to sunburn! I've got to try to find some child sunscreen for her tomorrow. If I had only known when I was at WalMart.... Who knew?
Anyway, I brushed her teeth, which she dearly loves and gave a her a little treat for being such a good girl. I scratched her tummy and talked to her a lot. We played fetch with her gigantic, (for her), raspberry pink pacifier. Maybe she'll be a good girl tomorrow while I'm at the Dr's office. I'm taking no chances though. I'm going to put the plastic back on the bed while I'm gone. __________________ I still dream and I still hope, therefore I can take what comes today. i'm not a dog psychologist, Jan, but it's entirely possible that little miss Belle is picking up on your distress... it's not like she has many ways to show her emotions, and like children, pets often misbehave in ways we find entirely inappropriate. it's too bad you cannot take her out with you, when you go, as i imagine being home alone is not the optimal environment. you don't know what goes one when you're not there, with the neighbors and other frightening noises....
i just hope she gets over these feelings and behaviors soon~! and that you, too, find healing and help. __________________ AWAKEN~! |

I was able to stay home all day with Belle.
Yesterday I even put down a puppy pad on top of the plastic on the bed and she still peed on the plastic! This is probably TMI... Anyway, I'm going to have to lock her out of the bedroom again and do the best I can. Next week I have three appointments in three days that I can't avoid. I hate leaving her here, but I have no choice. I always leave cartoons on for her. (Her fav. is Mickey Mouse. ) I forgot to turn the sound up yesterday and they mowed the grass while I was gone. The noises scare her and I felt like a jerk for forgetting the sound. I have another apartment inspection Friday. I have just a few little things to do tomorrow. It will pass right now, but I always try to make it as perfect as possible. OCD people, raise your hands, because I know you understand. It's very late. Thank you so much for the support and good advice. Sleep well, my dear friends. __________________ I still dream and I still hope, therefore I can take what comes today. Ok I am going to try this again
I hope everyone who is a mom to a human or a fur baby had a happy Mother's Day. Mine was quiet . We had our last court date for my daughter in May 11th. Since he didn't show up nor could they reach him they dismissed the case thank god. However I thought she would have moved back home but she did not I really thought she would because after court the week before she said to me it wasn't worth it. And I asked her what wasn't worth it and she said staying with him. I was really worried going into this court date and I really don't know why. I guess I just wanted it over and done with. Plus all these court dates, the stress of it all and me trying to deal with her drama my sons and my moms and trying to keep myself going is all way to much. I am very tired. The pain at times is unbareable Enough about me Liz I hope you are ok Has anyone heard from Kiya? I am worried about her. Gus thank you for all the positive posts and flowers Christina I hope you are hanging in there Jan belle is lucky you found her Sending positive vibes and gentle hugs __________________ |

I don't have Fibro, but I do have chronic arthritis pain. Is is ok for me to hang out here? You all seem so genuinely kind. It's ok if you say no; I'd rather get honesty than anything else. Thank you either way.
