Long story short. How long will it take to get the Methadone out of my system after the last dose? I'm sick and tired of feeling sick and tired every day. Down to 10mg. a day from 50mg. Doing 5mg. every two weeks I'm just about ready to stop the 10mg every day and get it over with. This is like torture.

Travelinglady you replied, and I appreciate it. I know now more than I ever wanted to know about Methadone. Bad monkey. It takes a long time. I took my last dose of 2.5mg on December 26, 2018. I can still feel a little of the bad every night. I have no desire to take anymore of it. Although I wish I could remove all the pain that has returned. From the middle of August till the end of January is a long time to have the flu. At least now I know where I stand with the Neck and lower back pain. It's not good but I knew when I started the Methadone that you can not stop it, if you get relief from the pain you will pay for it down the road. Unless arrangements could be made to never stop the pain meds, eventually you will have to stop and then you pay in spades. The methadone has a very long half life, and there in lies the problem with getting it out of your system. As always I pick the long hard roads....
