Saw new PCP Monday. She wants me tested for circulation issues in my right leg but we've got to hold off because the coronavirus is running rampant in our community again! The tests have to be run at the hospital and she doesn't want me going anywhere near one of those right now! I have been assured my leg is not going to fall off in the meantime, and she's encouraged me to try to get some type of exercise no matter how painful it is, so I bought one of these and have started out at 20 minutes a day ...
I researched them and found they are highly recommended (and effective) for physical therapy, seniors with balance issues, people recovering from foot, hip and leg injuries, cardiovascular health, circulation, etc. I always thought they were kind of a joke but evidentally not! So, maybe it will help build up a little muscle in my legs so walking isn't quite so painful anymore, we'll see. I am also considered at risk for severe illness if exposed to the virus according to the CDC so we have a reasonable accommodation request specifically for Covid-19 in the works. This one is requesting that I be allowed to continue to telework from home due to health issues until the risk of exposure has abated. This one isn't the same as the existing one pertaining to my reassignment - which I've been assured is not going to be a problem at all thank goodness! We have a really great HR Team in my division and they go to bat right fiercely for their employees - especially the good ones which I keep being told that I am one of those, and I need to believe what other people think of me because how I see myself is often skewed by the horrid messages from that sh*tshow I grew up in! Okay I've gabbed enough, hope everyone has a good evening and gentle hugs to all. |

after yesterday's severe fibro pain, I am surprised I'm still alive (you know when you're in so much pain you just don't know).
showered and painted my nails (the room now smells of nail polish, and I love the smell) the shower was a bad move, because it means I'm in more pain again. but I always shower friday regardless. so |

today I am going to make that birthday card (the one I've said I'll make for a few days).
I think I'll enjoy making it: it's for a close friend, and I came up with the whole idea of a design: pirate themed with lots of lovehearts on it Last edited by Anonymous32451; Jul 04, 2020 at 10:22 AM.. |

I have changed 3 times this morning (bad incontinence and it's only 11 A.M). not really going to do much today. catch up with some tv, catch up with the forumm, basically a boring day with nothing on
plus: the sun's out today, so I've had to shut my curtains (the briteness is too much for me). |

When the pandemic first started, and we all began working from home, I started keeping track of cases in my state.
I complete it daily and share it with my supervisor. I know cases have been on an upward trajectory recently, so today I compared last Sunday's numbers to this Sunday's numbers, and ... We are +24% statewide, +43% the county we work in, and the university we work at? She's UP 56% just since last Sunday alone! I know things can't stay shut down forever, but it's definitely going to be quite risky when Fall Semester starts for sure, and ... My fine institution is strongly suggesting the wearing of masks on campus, but not making it mandatory ... What the actual @#$%! ?!?!? I think wearing of masks in in public should be mandated nationwide with hefty fines and penalties for those that refuse to do so! It seems (no, it's real) that those of us that give a fig are at the mercy and whims of the selfish B&B's that don't. To me, that just ain't right! |

I love how it hurts just taking a peace of clothing out of the wardrobe
I'm being sarcastic.. my pain threshhold is not that high at all and I want a tattoo? hmm I think I need to rethink that. |

I'd definitely rethink the tattoo ... I have two and it was right painful.
I liken the pain to having numerous cats slowly dragging their sharp little claws along your skin for an extended period of time ... It burns, it stings ... Never again! _____ On another note, the University shifted gears and is now requiring masks to be worn on campus with disciplinary action for those that don't. Hopefully they'll decide to not open at all and maintain online instruction through the Fall Semester then reevaluate for Spring Semester. Either way, both of my doctors are advocating for me to continue to work at home under the ADA due to my health issues and high risk for intubation and death were I to be exposed and come down with it. As it is now, I can control the risk of exposure because if I show up at the store and it's crowded I won't go in and can return at another time when it's less crowded. I won't have that kind of control once I'm on campus and even with everyone wearing masks, the longer you are in close proximity with someone that has it the greater your risk of catching it goes up. Therefore, Pfroggy pfingers crossed that I won't encounter too much of a hassle as far as being allowed to continue to work from home (telework) goes. I've proven I'm quite reliable, trustworthy and responsible in that role so it shouldn't be an issue. |

RagingVortex, I would be afraid the pain of getting the tat would trigger a flare.

Our agency is rethinking their reopen plan because of the HUGE increase in Covid cases in the state. They are very carefully sending foster care case managers into the field. No one from the agency has had direct contact with the kids since March. It's a balancing act of making sure the kiddos are okay while keeping staff safe. They've interacted with the kids through Zoom and the like, but haven't had any direct interaction.
Management decided my program will continue with video or telephone contacts. We don't work with foster kids. I'm concerned about what happens when school starts in a month. With Covid numbers going through the roof I'm afraid to go back into the schools. I went so far as to respond to our CEOs email about reopening today. I thanked him for management's efforts to keep us safe and asked the consider Covid numbers before sending us into the schools. CFS is kicking my butt today. I don't get it. I busted my backside working in the yard over the weekend. Spent yesterday doing light cleaning in the kitchen and I'm wiped out today. |
