Hi, is anyone here waiting to have (so-called) "elective" surgery that is being delayed due to COVID?

My husband. Can’t get his shoulder replacement done. Called his surgeon again, they said we have to wait, it was originally scheduled for this May. Never mind that he can’t move his arm more than half way and is in constant pain and has to work essential job full time where he has to move his arm!

I'm so sorry; I had completely forgotten this thread.

I had the surgery on 5/28 and it went well. I'm just recovering, which is expected to be a fairly slow process. That's okay if I'm ultimately pain free and can take walks again.

Thank you for asking, liz

Has your husband had his surgery yet?

I solved this problem by scheduling surgery out of state. I have some family there and my handyman works up there sometimes. They are supposed to be the best in the country for this surgery which is a joint replacement-- they work for the Olympic team.
