Maybe I am finally starting to learn about taking care of myself. Yesterday was physically and emotionally exhausting. See my "FIRE" thread in social for details. Today I spent six hours driving to pick up a friend's cat that I am fostering. Don't know about you folks, but long drives set off my fibro and CFS. I'm exhausted and in pain. I'm going to practice self care and take a personal day from work tomorrow.

So glad I took a personal day today. I feel like I got hit by a bus. EVERYTHING hurts. Last night I was thinking of all the things I could get done today. I suspect sprawling on the couch and reading is all I'm going to get done.

Today is a rough day. Am still in pain and exhausted from events last week. Between work, stuff in my personal life, pandemic and war in Ukraine I am overwhelmed. I don't do this often because I don't want to wallow in self-pity, but I've given myself permission to feel like crap today. I find that by acknowledging I'm overwhelmed at times, and putting a time limit on the self-pity, it helps me cope.

I made myself climb off the pity pot last night. Given everything going on I think it's legitimate that I'm down. Not going to wallow in it, but not going to deny it either.

Physically I still hurt like hades. Left hip and knee hurt like bloody blue blazes. Am spending the day sitting on a hotpad while I do paperwork.

That hotpad sounds wonderful!

The three blossoms on my orchid have pfolded up, but two more buds are about to bloom.

Betty The Orchid really outdid herself this time!

I don't know what the weather is like where you are, but if it's bouncing all over the place temperature wise, that certainly doesn't help. Of course, if you're in a pflare, that's no good either!

Whichever one it is, I hope you get some relief sooner than later, and I don't mind hearing you whine about it either! If we keep it to ourselves, it just seems to make it that much more painful & lonely!

Cold front headed this way. Pain levels climbing as a result. Fibro and arthritis are competing to see which can hurt more.
