This week, my Fibromyalgia has been ok…so far.
My two rare diseases is another topic tho. I’m sharing this post…this question is often asked to individuals with disabilities which is part of ableism. My health insurance coverage ends 03/31 at midnight.
All because I got a refund of contributions pfrom a retirement system I never made it to retirement on! That's not supposed to count as income, but the Healthcare Marketplace says it does! My premium shot up 3X what it was, the deductible increased by 6K, and ... The yearly out of pocket went pfrom 2.5K to 8.5K! SSDI was awarded this past December (2021), but ... Medicare won't kick in until December of next year (2023). Needless to say, I'm a bit distressed about all that ... I sure hope I don't get some other kind of sick before then! Our system is broken & needs to be pfixed! |

Thank you @lizardlady ...
I'll try to sign up again at the end of the year ... But if they still want to penalize me, I'll go another year without. I'm tired of being shanghaied by our unscrupulous health insurance industry! They should be ashamed! 🤬 |

Headin' out here in a little bit to look at power-lift recliners ...
Pfound one I really liked yesterday, but the store no longer does delivery & set up. They refer you to the manufacturer pfor their white glove service which adds several hundred dollars to the thousand+ you just paid pfor the chair ... Ridiculous! I know my hips, knees & shoulders would certainly appreciate it, but not sure I can justify spending that kinda money pfor one. May the remainder of this day be SAFE & KIND to us! |

Pflower, do you have neighbors who could get the chair for you? Or what about a small moving company like Two Men and a Truck?

more whinging......
My best friend is in hospice dying. Drove to see her Wednesday. 4+ hours of driving did not make my body happy. A couple of hours of sitting with her did not help either. Tuesday I fumigated my house. That meant rounding up all seven cats and putting them in carriers/crates. Three of them went bat poop crazy and tore me up. When I got done cleaning the wounds my bathroom looked like a scene from a slasher movie! While the house was fumigated and during the airing out I worked in my rosebed. Too much for my old aching body. Even my hair hurts today. Of yeah, I got up yesterday to discover the neighbor's chickens tore up my rosebed. If I owned a gun I would've shot every last one of the b@stards! |

Gentle hugs pfor all you've been through this week @lizardlady ...
I did pfind a recliner at a different (locally owned & operated) mobility store, and it includes delivery & set up. They also have service techs that can provide service pfor it when needed. That's the one I got ... The guys that deliver it will remove the bed & pframe pfrom the room I'm putting it in before setting it up, and I plan on tipping them $20 a piece pfor that! I'll have them lean all that up against the wall in the living area and the people I rent pfrom can take it pfrom there. I'm going to have the delivery guys place the chair near the center of the bedroom at an angle so I can see out the cottage door when it's open, and I'll add what I need around it as I go. It's so comfy, I wish I could sleep in it at the mobility place until they deliver it on Tuesday! May the remainder of the day & this weekend be kind to us! |

5:45 this AM was awakened by a phone call to tell me my friend passed away last night. That's what time I normally wake, but I am dead from the neck up today I'm so tired.

today while showering, I struggled so much that my shower chair tipped sideways
I nearly ended up flying in to the metal taps. I didn't, but it was close.. |
