you know: sometimes I wish I was as brave in real life as I was on the forum.

I share stuff here I never tell anyone... was thinking about this today, if only life was just virtual I'd have no issues at all with confidence

It's snowed the last couple of days. We don't get much snow in So. California but we got 4 inches in two days. Wind chill factor is making it feel much colder than it is. Fibro flare.

I'm kind of in the same boat as Christina. Never ending stress has lead to me being cranky, crabby and not pleasant to be around. See my "you can only do so much" thread in the social forum if you want details.

I haven't been feeling very supportive lately. Silly me has been staying away from this thread because I'm so cranky. Then I came here tonight and remembered why I love you guys so much.

Seems everyone is struggling right now. I hope things get better for everyone.

shower today and my whole body has been feeling on fire.

I've said it before here and I'll say it again... showers hurt, not just while you're in the shower... the rest of the day!

Sometimes A Little Humor Helps ...

Fibromyalgia Check-In Thread #6 ...

Hope all are able to pfind that one comfortable position today - the one where you are in the least amount of pain - and that you don't have to move until absolutely necessary ... like having to get up and go pee!

It’s very challenging having rare diseases and autoimmune diseases that primarily revolve around regularly taking steroid medications. Regularly taking steroid medications directly cause weight gain for many individuals.

I’m not going to give up...I will continue to be active on non-symptomatic days. Right now is very challenging with back to back ice and snow storms. I used to workout at my residence..home workouts. I really enjoy being outside.

I’ve been doing pretty good with my depression. I stopped taking all psychotropic medications in 2018 and it was the best choice for me. After being misdiagnosed when my original diagnoses was always depression. I’ll never go to another mental provider again.

I found several things that work for me as coping skills.....music, coloring, reading, blogging, traditional Indigenous music, praying to my ancestors, chatting with folx, soaking, knitting 🧶 etc.

I recently lost my auntie, heart disease and it hurts so much. I lost a cousin to breast cancer four months earlier. I’ve recently looked into bullet journaling. I see it as a creative outlet for me to deal with grief, loss and process my thoughts.

I was incontinent 4 times last night, not just a little, either. apart from dealing with that, I do have something to smile about: today when I did my
quiz, I scored 9/10 on my quiz. it would have been 10, but I didn't know who hosted the last olympic games. I am also going to have pancakes today for
shrove tuesday. sugar and lemmon

Well, that certainly sucks @lizardlady!

I've been on the pfence about getting the shot anyhow since I've already had a couple of severe allergic reactions to some other meds ...

I think that right there is the deal breaker for me!

I know Pfrog. I'm scared of getting the virus. I'm not sure I trust the vaccine the way they rushed it into production. Now I hear it can trigger flares. I'm going to keep waiting before I get the shot. I feel kind of damned if you do, damned if you don't.

I’m just getting back into running. I was in track in school and I continued running even after graduating college. One of my sisters also runs and my adult daughter. I walk part of the way then run part of the way. It’s definitely important to me to pace myself. I do have several autoimmune diseases and rare diseases. I’m mindful of my reality. Monday, I had a lot of pain...muscle spasms.

I try to walk and run for a total of 30 minutes. I do have to break up the time because of the weather and also until I build my running stamina back up. The temperature was 7 degrees yesterday night and breathing in the cold Fibromyalgia Check-In Thread #6 ... air definitely triggered my asthma.

well: I didn't get to have the pancakes

partly because I just sat around all day feeling sorry for myself (depression), and partly because I didn't have any lemmon.
but I will have some this week for sure...... nom nom nom nom
