so I thought it might be good to start a self-care thread in this forum, since when we're in pain it can be hard to actually do stuff easily.

so I figure I'll start with a few questions:

when it comes to self-care, what do you find hard because of the pain?. what helps you make the task easier?, and, most importantly, did you do any self-care today if so what?.

I'll start by saying that the hardest thing for me to do is shower. getting in the shower is hard enough, but then their's all the moving around, the standing, the general idea of doing anything painfull for too long.. I have a shower chair, which really helps me, but it still makes things difficult

as for today, I just about got dressed. it took me a full 15 minits to accomplish, but I did it

Dear raging vortex,

Great thread.

I like to exercise, but so many parts of my body hurt that it is hard to find exercises that don't cause me pain.

Sincerely yours, Yao Wen
