On my profile: Change mood - I click on it, but there's nothing..... somewhat ironic actually!

How do I change my mood setting?

Thanks

I've come across a real mood-changer somewhere before... oh, it comes up from this page, or my Profile page, or (probably) most other pages, as soon as I click on "My Profile" at the left end of the blue bar. It appears to be part of the "User Control Panel."

The link at the upper right of (apparently) every page is broken -- the one under "Welcome, Fool Zero" that says "Change Mood". The HTML for it says...
HTML Code:
My Mood: <a href="#" id="moods">Change Mood</a>
... which, as far as I can see, is only going to take me to the top of the current page.

Thanks for pointing this out, M_V. Since I don't have moods I've never had occasion to try that link myself.

it is where your inbox is. if you have pm's you won't be able to change your mood.

Bebop's right - you can change it in your profile but you don't have to. Even when you're browsing around look at the top right where your name is with messages and a picture of your mood - well click on that and it shows you all the choices - then click on the one you want - then you're done

Aha! That may be why my "Change Mood" link doesn't go anywhere: I've never selected a mood in the first place.

To illustrate what I said earlier:

I've come across a real mood-changer somewhere before... oh, it comes up from [most other pages], as soon as I click on "My Profile" at the left end of the blue bar:

Can't get this to change

It appears to be part of the "User Control Panel":

Can't get this to change

The link at the upper right of (apparently) every page is broken:

Can't get this to change

The HTML for it says...
HTML Code:
My Mood: <a href="#" id="moods">Change Mood</a>
... which, as far as I can see, is only going to take me to the top of the current page. I don't know whether that has anything to with my not having a mood selected. When I look at anyone else's profile page, this corner still shows my info (including my non-mood), not theirs, so I can't compare.

---------------------------
Well, that's odd!

When I tried again clicking that link by the messages that had never worked before, I got a little popup (or pulldown) mood changer. Now I'm wondering why I didn't get that last time I tried.

I've never seen the "long column of nothing" that morning_view describes.

Um, yeah, when I click on the "change mood" bit by the bit that says "welcome morning_view" and messages and stuff - it opens just with "nood mood" and then a long column of nothing - same in my profile

There are 2 ways to change your mood - the first I already mentioned. The second way is to click on the main page on the left where it says 'my profile'. This will immediately get you to the mood panel. Select the mood and then within that box on the left is an X with 'change your mood' - click on this to finalize your choice. I hope this helps. GL

The Mood Changer relies on Javascript to be enabled in your browser. While this is the default setting for most browsers, some virus or security settings on your computer may require you to specifically allow certain sites to run Javascript. Also, only the mainstream web browsers are typically supported with functionality such as this -- Firefox, MS IE 6.x and later, Opera, and the Mac Safari.

Hope this helps someone.
