I can't give you a definitive answer; if no one volunteers one here, you might try asking the founder of another invite-only group (ThaCrew, for example) how they do it.

Some places I'd look in the meantime:

-- A couple of the buttons in the blue bar at the top of most PC pages, especially "My Profile" and "Quick Links", bring up long menus with changing options. When I was very new here, those menus didn't mention Social Groups at all; as soon as I qualified to join groups, the option did appear on the menus. It's just possible that now that you're running a group of your own, there'll be something relevant there.

-- The tops and bottoms of group-related pages. For instance, my list of groups has a control at the bottom for "Create a New Group" (which you probably used). Is there anything more down there now? Is there anything at the top or bottom of your "Preemie Survivors" group page (or its "View All Members" page) that isn't on mine?

-- The profile of someone you want to invite. By any chance, does anything useful come up with the "Send Message" control, or is there anything in their "Group Memberships" box that only group creators can see?
