Hey folks... can anyone help me out here? Somewhere (and I only use links from known sites) I picked up an "MCI Command Handling Window" onto my task bar on my computer.
I can't seem to get rid of it. There are no buttons it the corner, when not minimized it's still just a small tabbed window up in the corner of the computer, not even a small screen, and when left clicked, there is no drop down/up window to delete it. I've gone looking on the computer for it's origination, can't find it. I've shut down, rebooted, defragged, and clean up files (computer is running great btw lol) but it remains on my task bar. Any ideas? I've missed something somewhere, obviously. (And I have no idea what it's for.)

Hey Sky,
I found the following about the mci command - http://forums.speedguide.net/showthread.php?t=167397 http://www.pcreview.co.uk/forums/thread-390284.php It looks like it can hang things up on shutdown and restarts of your system. If these 2 links don't seem to help, I just put the following into google and it brought up a bunch of stuff - "mci command handling window" Good luck with it! ![]() sabby |
