When clicking on "more" under smiley's, it brings up a separate smiley page. This can only obviously be used with "add reply" and not with "post quick reply". However, the page doesn't stay open once the reply is posted. It is a bit of a nuisence to have to "add reply" each time and click on "more" each time. I seem unable to memorize the : --- : codes of most of the smileys.

Am I making sense?

Perfect sense, Hon! That's just the way the system responds. I haven't memorized all the codes to the smilies I use but knowing some of the codes helps.

Don't let the little things get to ya!

LOL I get embarrassed sometimes because of the smilies I use especially when I get PMs that have none.

You could take a couple a day and write the codes for them several times like we used to do our spelling words in school!

In the meantime... ... Yes, I did them all from memory. LOL

Would it be possible to cut and paste all the smilies into a Word document and use that to be able to look up the codes?

OK, I saved the whole smilie list in a Word doc. Then cut and pasted the code into this message. Let's see if it worked.....

When I use the smilies page it goes down to the bottom of the monitor screen and then click on it to reuse it but it does go away once you have finished your reply. I am on ie not sure if that makes any difference. Would be good if the smilies page could be kept open and left down the bottom of the monitor until it is needed again though. I think this was possible on the old system. Saying all that though I tend to use the same smilies so don't need to use it much.

Yeah, the old system kept the page open but not happening now. I think I am going to go Lizardlady's cut and paste route!

Sabrina,

I printed them and pinned them to the bulletin board that's located just above my screen. I find that I'm learning them more quickly this way plus it's right there with no effort.

Hope this makes sense and may be of some help.

Sabrina,

I had another thought ! Someone may have already suggested, I don't know, I didn't look.

Open 2 tabs to PC. Dedicate one to the smilies and do your navigation with the other. Maybe that will also work for you.

Later.
