This isn't a complaint, because I really don't care, but I noticed something: Two members here are listed as "SuperPoster!"s (well, more than two, but I'm talking about a specific two, and I'm not naming them because I forgot their names, and don't want to hunt again). One of these members has 3,619 postings, and the other has 297 postings. I have 2-thousand-something, but SuperPoster! isn't listed under my name. I just thought that was odd.

Again, it's no big deal to me, but I just wondered why.

Hey Maven,

I don't have the exact quote from DocJohn, but I'll try to explain.

The term "SuperPoster" is NOT just based on the amount of posts you have. It's also based on the amount of time you've been here. So if you post a lot, and you've been here only for a week, you may be a "super poster" but if you've been here for over a year, and don't have that many posts - you may not be a "super poster".

I hope that helps.

Edit: Found the quote!

Quote:
Oh, and "SuperPoster!" refers to people who contribute a great many posts (even if they've only been here a short time)... it's a simple formula based upon the ratio of posts to time and just denotes people who are frequent posters.

I occasionally peek at the stats in people's profiles. I'm not sure what the exact cutoff is for "Super Poster". I'm guessing two posts per day, and so far I haven't found any stats contradicting that.

Right now the stats on your profile say:
Quote:
Total Posts: 5
Posts Per Day: 3.26
As far as I can tell, that's more than enough to qualify.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
