sometimes I am going through posts while but don't have time to actually reply & there is a specific one that I want to go back to when I have time....

Is there a way.......to flag a post so I can go back to it later when I have time?

Know I can subscribe to a complete thread....but there are posts inside a thread that are something important to me or want to respond to....but when I go back....can't remember what it was & sometimes just get lost that they were there.

Debbie

Not exactly what you were asking for, but you can use your browsers bookmark capability to keep a note of particular posts - just put your mouse over the post number on the far right side of the post's date/time line & then right-click, you should then get a menu which will let you bookmark (add to favorites in IE) that link, which you can then return to later.
Thanks for this!

Eskie,
I know what you mean. There's probably some slick techy action for this...but I don't know what it is! It's a great question.
Marvin Pa has a good solution. It seems straight forward and useful to me.
What I've resorted to is to cut and paste the url in an email and save it as a draft in my Outlook. I keep my email open while I'm on PC.

I use Windows Notepad for keeping lists like that. The post number at the top right of each post is a link to that unique post. If I were keeping a list in Notepad of posts to revisit, it might look like this:
Quote:
revisit.txt

...

Eskie asks about bookmarking individual posts, 8/9/08:

Thank you Marvin Pa, Notz, & Fool Zero,

I appreciate your input on this all great ideas that work for what I want. Think the bookmark (firefox) or the notepad are probably fit my needs....don't for some reason do much with email or outlook but that sounds like a good option also.

Thank you all for your responses.....thought I was going to be stuck in this for awhile....lol.

Thanks,
Debbie

Only other thought I had (and use at times) is to copy the post into a PM and send it to myself. If you're already subscribed, just list the thread title with it, and then follow the notification. I also write the reply into the "reply" window of the PM, and copy it but not send it...then go out to the thread and paste it.

Yeah, not quite fully efficient.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
