On another mental health support site, the administrator established a link to Facebook and Twitter. It has caused an uproar as members there feel vulnerable and exposed. It seems the community had no input into it's implimentation. That wouldn't happen here, would it?

PsychCentral is both on Twitter and Facebook, but nothing is ever posted about people's comments/posts on the forums. Only blogs (ones by people who are professionals in mental health stuff) and news about psychology/psychotherapy/whatever would be relevant to a site such as PsychCentral - is posted on these external sites. The stuff people write on the forums STAYS on the forums, as per the Community Guidelines and I believe the Terms of Use (TOU) as well.

We wouldn't use your posts or community contributions here as a means of advertising or marketing the community through twitter or facebook. A website that encourages the use of such individual postings in this manner shows little respect for people or their personal life stories, in my opinion.

my pastor told a joke the other day he said they were going to combine you tube twitter and face book together they would call it you twit face. That fyi was his only joke I have laughed at in the 7 years I have been at his church cus he is not funny. LOL
