Thank you to the system Administrators and Technitions who worked hard to get Psych Central and related forums back up and running and for your kindness in notifying us of your progress on a regular basis. That sure helped and was appreciated! billieJ
Thanks for this!

I am right there with you BillieJ. That was so wonderful to go there & have a message saying what was going on rather than just getting nothing. Keeping us notified was the most wonderful thing. It helped avoid the stress of wondering if it was the internet, or my computer, or what was broken. That was the most thoughtful way of handling the problem.

Sorry that you had the problem & the stress of trying to get it fixed, & backed up again......Have to say, we have the most wonderful consciencious, thoughtful people working to keep this site running along with DocJohn. It goes to reinforce what a wonderful site PC is in all aspects.

Thank you for all your hard work.....I am sure there were many stressful hours put into taking care of the site tonight & want to recognize all that hard work with a huge

THANK YOU,
Debbie

Thanks folks, we appreciate the value of being kept in the loop, having sat on the other side of things, so I definitely thought it would be helpful to keep a status update page going.

Yes thanks DocJohn for letting us know what the problem was. I know some of the fiesty posters - I'm pointing the finger at Moi LOL, might have thought we were banished from PC completely - and put in the 'naughty corner'.

I had no idea that there was even the ability to keep a status page going when the site was down.....that was wonderful to learn also. Most of the time when I have problems getting onto a site, I usually blame it on my internet provider & their equipment on the water tower in our rural area.....or a problem with the server......the site is usually my last thought of having problems.....but it's so nice to have that status page to know what is going on & a time frame to help with the patience also.

As I said in my previous post.....this is all part of the wonderful quality of our site here....making it so special.

Thanks again,
Debbie

The site stayed up. I could read articles and stuff there. Only the database for the community was down, but of course the community pretty much is the database. I gather that DocJohn eventually arranged for the outage updates page to come up in place of the Forums page.
