Hi,
Why is the edit button/option on only some of my posts- but not others?

Thank you.

For example, there's a button "Edit" in the right lower corner of this post, but it is not on a post a posted last night in a different forum. This is really frustrating, there are a 100 menus to look through in all the options, but I cannot find why this edit button does not show up in all my posts. Under "Posting Rules' in the lower left corner of the page it says "You may edit your posts"--but when I try to edit a post, the option/button is not there! Please help

Editing (on the forums) is time-limited. I'm not sure what the time limit is but it seems to be a few hours; after that the Edit button disappears. For the first few minutes you can edit without leaving a trace; editing after that causes the "Last edited by..." message to appear at the bottom.

Editing in the social groups, however, seems to be unlimited.

Thanks FoolZe for the answer to the question.

We actually have 4 hours after a post is submitted to be able to edit. After that you will have to ask a mod/admin for help in editing.
Thanks for this!
