How do I quote part of a post. I see part of post quoted in a box and have no idea how it was done. Is there a different procedure when using Advanced mode?
Thanks. |

I don't know if there is an easier way to do it but what I do is quote the whole post then highlight the part that I dont want quoted and hit backspace. I hope that helps

You can put anything in quotes by using the brackets [ ] and putting quote inside the first one (in front of the quote) and /quote inside the end of the quote material. It will look like this (without the spaces)
[ quote ] material here [/quote ] Instead of having to type in all the material you want to show in quotes, you can cut and paste... highlight the material you want to quote (like this line) then hit CTL C (control button and the "c" on the keyboard to copy it) and then put your cursor in the text window and hit CTL V (control button and letter "v") to paste it. Quote:
Hope I explained it well enough. ![]()

We discussed quote-related issues in some detail in this thread: Quoting from a quote.
