Feedback forum right?

Just an observation and giving you some feedback.

No mods. They seem to be a very rare breed recently! And looking through the list of View Forum Leaders there isn't many to choose from either.

One dedicated Mod has been spied from time to time! You know who you are!!

Thanks for your feedback pegs, but I have to say that all our mods are dedicated, not just one of them

Here it is, summer time, people go on vacations, some are busy with many things happening in their lives outside of PC, some have had medical procedures, some have work aside from their volunteer work here. Yep, sometimes we do run a little thin.

It is still, business as usual here though, no matter how thin it may seem at times.
Thanks for this!

Umm... In the past week there was one Mod floating around and for 4 hours yesterday (or maybe the day before) there were no Mods at all. Dedication to me means to show up everyday. I will not embarrass those that have not been around for a long time, they must have their reasons and I do understand that they are volunteering. I volunteer everyday and I'm not a Mod.

I was just bringing this to your attention so that you know...

We appreciate your feedback on the availability of moderators at Psych Central. But the question has been asked and answered, so I'm not sure what more you want one of us to say. We don't ask and wouldn't expect a moderator to be available 24/7, and we have never said to the community that a moderator -- or any community support team member -- would be available here 24/7. Never. So there's no expectation that a moderator or someone else needs to be available here all the time. This is a free resource, our moderators and all of our administrators volunteer our time here. So while we do set some minimum expectations of their responsibilities (and we do monitor them), your expectations may be very different than ours.

We're well aware of which moderators are on a break, taking a vacation, or what-not, and it's not appropriate nor is it your role to "embarrass" moderators who are already on-record with us. We are in touch with all the moderators, even when they don't log onto Psych Central.

Every quarter we review our moderation team and make additions as old moderators leave us to move on to other things (sometimes even twice or three times a quarter). While this may not be fast enough for some folks, it works for our needs and ensures transitions are smooth and gradual, not bringing on 6 new people at once who all have the same learning curve.

Again, thank you for your feedback on this issue, and I hope this clarifies your concerns and answers your questions.
