Hi All,

For some reason I am a bit slow at this one...

How do I put a picture directly into a post without having it come up as a thumbnail attachment thingy?

thanks.

Use the control that looks like this How do I put a picture... ["Insert Image"]. You could also put the IMG and /IMG tags around the picture URL by hand but it's quicker and easier the first way.

You can use photobucket but their pics sometimes disappear - now I use googleimages. Click on the pic, then right click "copy image location' - then proceed as Fool Zero said, right click then choose 'paste'. Go ahead and try it here, so we can see if it worked lol. Good luck.

How do I put a picture...

Hey... it worked. I'm still a bit scrappy at this... If I try to make the picture smaller it doesn't seem to want to change once I save the message. I also seem to lose my cursor. Thanks for your help.
Thanks for this!

Ideally you should download it, make it "yours" and then upload it onto your own space. I don't think you can adjust the size of something that is on another's site, it's still "theirs". You don't have any control over it (or if it will "stay") otherwise. With that site, http://www.publicdomainpictures.net/ I would "join" and download/upload/use their tools if they have any or get a free or inexpensive photo editor/art program to use on your own computer before uploading back up to your space there so it would be the size you want when posted here.

Good for you ...looks like you did it Yes the cursor is hard to find sometimes....it can be at the top or beside it.... just click on it and hopefully it'll show up. That's one thing I don't know how to do, is size a picture yet.

I put my photos into the gallery here, and then link to them.
