I noticed today that my "title" has moved to "grand member."
I'm not so sure about this.
Can one be a grand member and still feel like they have no real answers?
I try to be supportive and offer helpful advice but I am still quite lost.
Can I be a lost "grand member?"
It feels like a bigger responsibility than I can handle and I wish I could go back to being a "member."

Elana-
The titles change for people based on the number of posts you have. That is all. There is a thing somewhere that says exactly how many posts make what title. Just keep being your wonderful self.

Yes googley's right -the title changes according to the number of posts. It doesn't have anything to do with the quality of your answers. So yes you can be a 'grand member' and not have all the answers lol.

Here's the FAQ section that explains your title: What titles are available?

My own comment a year or so ago when I noticed I was approaching 500 posts:
I dread becoming a Grand Member because I've never been very good at delusions of grandeur.
Thanks for this!

Thanks guys. I know it's for posts. But I still feel sort of lacking something whenever I see it.

These forums are for mutual support and information sharing only.
Hello, Elana05. I do not know how labels benefit the mutual support and information function of the forums. If, as in your case, the labels are a source of stress, they seem to be a bane rather than a boon.

A sincere attempt to offer support is more important than the label attached to the offerer.

Be well.

Thanks Byz. Yes, I mean it is obvious I have other more looming areas of stress in my life. I guess I just have doubts when I'm about to post something that is more like a breakdown than an inspirational word or some kind of source of support for others. Somehow I feel like if I'm a Grand Member by now I should have worked out my problems. Oddly, I don't feel that others need to live up to this expectation. Only me. As usual. More to take to therapy (or Al Anon).

Thanks and hugs to y'all.
