I tried to enter a chat room several times this evening (self-defeating behaviors) and both times, got an empty screen, with only the message, "This nickname is in use". What do I do about that and what does it mean? Help.

It's likely that if you tried entering the chat room multiple times, it logged you in, but for whatever reason, your browser didn't update showing you logged into chat accordingly. So when you tried to log in again, you got that message.

These are temporary glitches associated with a member's login problems within chat. If you leave and come back to the forums in about 30 minutes' time, it should be all cleared on its own.

Thanks, DocJohn, for your feedback. I've had that aggravating problem before, and I'm glad to see that just waiting awhile does tend to solve the problem.

Thanks Doc John. I'll try again, maybe log in early for the once weekly one hour chats.
