I hope that suggestions are allowed here. I figured that they could fall under the category of user feedback.

Someone made a thread about how there are a lot of unanswered threads at times, and that kind of gave me an idea. Is it possible for, under search, maybe, you could simply search for unanswered threads, instead of having to check in each forum for threads with no replies? I think it would get people to answer to more threads and it would be a lot more convenient.

Just a thought.

If I wanted to look for unanswered threads, I would just use the "new" threads since I'd been on last feature and look at those. Or even easier, looking at the list of threads in forums one frequents, it shows how many answers there are, just go for the zeros?

Since there was a plugin available with this functionality, it's been added and is now available.

You'll find it under the "Search" option in the BLUE menu bar near the top. You should see an option for "Unanswered threads" there now.

Thanks DocJohn, my concern was growing about members not receiving any reply even after days!

May I nudge any member who "doesn't know what to say" in a reply, smiley icons (or sad ones, hugs etc) work just fine! It IS very depressing to nearly everyone to see several "views" and yet no reply at all; it makes them feel like their thoughts aren't valuable.

Now we can find those unanswered posts...and let others know we do care, whether we know what to say or not!

If this doesn't remedy the problem ("problem" in my eyes--today there are 500 unanswered posts!!!) then maybe a Community Team just for searching out and making first replies could be made, a kind of "first responder" for the website.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
