I have dial-up access and a wi-fi wireless card. Recently I had an error while online and my wi-fi card has since stopped working. I mean the computer does not recognize when it is plugged in to the laptop. Dial-up still works. The wireless card settings were somehow, suddenly, changed to a PPP adaptor. I haven't been able to fix this. I tried something that worked once in the past using winipfg (something like that! Computer problem)

gee inky, sorry I can't help you...but I know once in a while when I go to a New or strange site, things get commandeered away from normal settings for my notebook. Hope someone smart let's you know... or that you have figured it out by now?

I know only the extreme basic idea of networking, so this is a challenge. I am digging around the configurations and slowly coming up with clues. Don't have any idea how long it will take, though.
