Hi,
On the customize profile option, there's a box where you can upload a picture as a profile background image. I don't get how to do this...it's just a box, but I don't know what to put in it. I tried the image's URL, alone and with image tags ([ img]...url...[/ img]) and neither worked. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks.

The image has to be saved in your profile image folder, do you know the folders you use on PC, basically your PC albums? You get the picture from their, so save make a folder for picture for profile, save them in to their, upload them on to PC, so for example do you want it like mine? I have the tatty teddy pictures in my albums!! -Hugs- Always

Angel's right...

at the top of that profile option page it states:
Quote:
Background images must come from your albums. Enter the URL to a picture in one of your public or profile albums.
So upload your picture into the Gallery here at PC first (see Photos tab on task bar above).

Let us know if you hit another glitch.

The Gallery ("Photos" in the menubar) is a separate area.

When it refers to Albums, it means the Albums you find directly on your Profile page. You have to upload your image to that area.

DocJohn

PS - The reason for 2 different areas for uploading photos was because originally the forums didn't have their own upload area; it was added in a later release with no easy way to import members' existing photos from our existing photo gallery.

While on your own public/visitor profile page, click on the CUSTOMIZE PROFILE which is located on the right hand side of your task bar (Visitor messages, statistics, contact information)...
on the page that comes up are options for colors for font, backgrounds, borders etc...and images. Be sure to preview before submitting; makes it easier to fix mistakes
