Hiya Crew!

A URL is a Uniform Resource Locator and is the address of a document (i.e. a website, picture, blog etc.)

I think what you may be thinking about is your IP address as that is specific to each computer. Just click on the link below and it will tell you what your IP address is.

Hope this helps,

Tara and friends
Thanks for this!

But often that changes over time. You are only "loaned" an IP address for a time.

Hi Crew You don't need an IP or a URL for that. You can create an album on your profile page and upload a pic from your HD to the album. When the pic is uploaded to this site it will receive a URL. You can find the url or code when you click on the pic in your album. Then if you want to place that pic in a post, copy the URL or "BB code" for the pic and paste it in your post. Capiche ?

I think you mean, when you want to include a picture in a post (or PM). You click on the What is my URL? EMABARRASSED not knowing icon, a dialog box opens and asks you for the URL of the picture. If you found the picture online somewhere, it'll have a URL beginning with "http://". Even if it's only on your computer, it'll have a URL of sorts (beginning with "file:///") but you'll only be able to use that URL to view the picture in your own browser, not in a post or PM.

You can upload an image from your computer to one of your albums at PC (and then get the URL for the picture from the album) but if you keep doing that every time you want to post a picture, you may end up with a lot of albums. If you delete a picture from your album it'll disappear from your posts as well.

By the way, if you opt to make an album private rather than public it's possible that not everyone will be able to see the pictures you post from it.
Thanks for this!

Well since we've covered most of the possibilities on embedding a photo we might as well mention hotlinking
and bandwidth theft. I see that happen here.
Some people take that pretty seriously...
Thanks for this!

What is my URL? EMABARRASSED not knowing....Hi Crew.

I find it much easier using a photobucket account when I want to post photos or smilies, they have free accounts.

When you want to upload a photo to your album here on PC do make sure this "http://" is only ones in the front of the photo you want to upload, also have a look at what type of file extension it is you want to upload. I'm not completely sure which one's PC allow, the standerd ones are jpg, png, gif, bmp.

I hope it helps.

What is my URL? EMABARRASSED not knowing....Some sites don't mind if you hotlink but many do, it is a good thing to mention and abide by.
