I was just reading someone else's post about losing weight while on an antipsychotic.
And I am currently in the middle of losing 100 pounds - 75 of which I gained from an antipsychotic. I see more than a few posts on the medications forum right now about weight gain from meds. There are probably plenty of people on these boards battling to lose weight, and battling their medications or illnesses in the meantime. Would it be possible to create a forum for weight loss support? Or do you think this would be too triggering for those with eating disorders?

Perhaps this could be sub-forum under Health Support?

I like the idea either way. I need all the secrets I can get.

I tried asking for help before while I was dieting but was refused because it could harm/hurt (for want of better words) people with eating disorders that do not need to lose weight.

I'm on a weight-loss site, but nobody seems to understand the mental illness aspect of my addiction to food and lack of motivation. I don't know, maybe I'm blaming a little too much of it on my messed-up brain.
There was a post recently where people just didn't understand why someone in a deep depression couldn't "JUST exercise." They don't get it. When you're that far depressed, exercise is the LAST thing you are capable of doing. You must get out of the depression before you are capable of a lot of exercise.

Also, yes - I'm a binge eater, sometimes severe, but not often enough to really be an eating disorder, so I don't feel "right" posting on the eating disorders forum about my binging. Plus I don't want to trigger any of the people with anorexia or bulimia by saying I've lost a lot of weight.

I hope little as much as 15 minutes a day for workout, you'll see wonderful results. But not sure with the weight loss or not. But is ideal for the person those want to keep fit and fine.
I came across a post that focusing on a recent study that '15 mins daily exercise cuts death risk' on breaking news online site. ![]() |

Hello, Martina. Good luck with getting a support forum or group going. Sometimes comments are not helpful. I expect you know what losing weight entails and I support your efforts.
