Hi ~ I was wondering about the replies I receive from the "threads" I put up... How do I know if I have any responses when I enter the PC website. Obviously, I'm new, and I'm not grasping the "what and whys" from the information I've read. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Blessings!

Well the way I normally do it is to click on my username. Then I go to "statistics", then I view all my posts. I select the one I want to check and take a look if anyone has responded.

Another way is to go to your post, and click on "thread tools". There is a way to subscribe to your thread. You can select how you will get notified if someone responds. That's really useful. If you click on private messages to the top right, then look on the left and find "subscribed threads/ list subscriptions" you can view a list of all the threads you ahve subscribed to.

hope this helps =)

Here's how I've been doing it. It seems to work pretty well for me:
Subscribing to Threads You're Interested in Following

Wow, Fooze, that's alot of info! I don't comprehend it all yet, but I think there's a way to print out your reply, which I will, and that will help me visualize what I'm doing while I'm on my page. I'm one of those people that has to "see and do." It looks like it will be pretty handy once I get it all figured out. Everything seems so confusing at first, but once you figure it out, you wonder, "how could I have ever thought that was so hard!" Oh well, you have to start somewhere. Thank goodness for patient people like yourself! I so appreciate you input. Take care and have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!

Blessings ~

Hi Turquoisesea - Thanks for the handy tip. I tried your first suggestion and it works very well...simple and easy. The second tip you mention is one FooZe also sent me in great detail. I'm going to have to "study" this one a little bit more as I don't understand it too well. I think it will be good for organizing all of the threads, but I think that's down the road just a bit. Being new is a bit overwhelmning! Take care and have a great Labor Day weekend!

Blessings!

As it happens... there is! The same "Thread Tools" menu where you can subscribe to a thread, also has an option for "Show Printable Version". Not that you couldn't print the regular version, but the "printable" version seems to use less paper and to be less challenging to your printer.

When I've thought I knew how to do something but hadn't actually tried doing it yet, it's almost always turned out that there was an important piece missing.

The first time I took a class in computer programming, I came out of the first session knowing how to write simple programs in that particular language. Whoopee, I was a programmer now! When I thought about it a little more, though, I realized that although I could write a program on paper, I hadn't the slightest idea how to get it into the computer.

You're more than welcome. Thank you for your willingness to ask questions and try stuff out.

FooZe....found it under "Thread Tools!" I'm so fascinated by all of the issues and conversations, I have just quickly read over all of the information. For that reason, it, obviously, isn't staying in my mind very well! I'll do my best to stick to the info and not to the threads, but I make no promises ('cuz then I don't have to worry about breaking them!). Thanks again and enjoy you evening.

P.S. It's nice to have finally a place where I genuinely fit in...thank you everyone! *sincere gratitude*

Blessings~

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
