Would it be possible in chat to create a software device that says when someone is disconnected or have left the room by clicking on exit.

It has happened loads in chat where I'll see someone leave and I have no idea if they were disconnected, or left.
It has happened to me a couple of times and with my computer(which I love, but is a bit old and slow), I cannot get back on for about half an hour(ish). Its like torture when chatting and suddenly one is disconnected.

It happened to me the other day and because of the nature of the convo, the friend I was chatting with thought I had been triggered, when I had not; I was just disconnected.
If anything being disconnected and thinking that others may think I was triggered, is in itself 'triggering'.....

I do love chat, and to have the computer saying - member disconnected -, would make more sense. Also if I was disc, then others would be aware of this.

Thank you.
Thanks for this!

The program has no way of knowing whether you've pressed a button to leave or whether your Internet connection went out, or something happened between the connection between your computer and our server, so it's not something we can add at this time. Sorry.

People should simply be aware that not every leaving by a member is on purpose -- sometimes members leave because of a bad connection with the chat server. Always assume the best in others, especially when it comes to online communications!

Best,
DocJohn

i too often worry if someone leaves without saying goodbye, in any way. rather than trying to "fix the software", maybe we could encourage each other to make a small comment when leaving,, tc, gotta go, f.u. ,,, anything that would let us know why they left voluntarily. it's just good manners.

i have learned to assume that i don't know why they left, and if they come back, i'm glad. best wishes, Gus
