I have PC as one of my browser homepages. Today when I clicked on "New Posts" nothing happened, or so I thought. I clicked on it again and an error message came up that said something like you must wait five seconds between requests, you have three seconds to wait. I thought that was odd, it did not bring me there to begin with. I later noticed several PC tabs were open. Instead of bringing the tab I am on to "my profile" or "new posts" it opened another tab. This has never happened before. Anyone know what is going on?

Nope I haven't changed a thing, I haven't downloaded anything or installed anything. I am the only one that uses this computer and it worked the way it normally works this morning before I left for work.

Grrrrr I hate it when stuff like this happens. It took me an hour to get my iphone to delete photos and that was only after using ehow.com The stupid phone still didn't upload the new file with photos deleted but the old one where it had made duplicate photos of each one instead. I' m back to square one.
Ok... I always have trouble after the computer updates. Can you check and see if it did that while you were at work? Sorry if I'm wasting your time .. I'm hoping someone with real knowledge will laugh at me and then post the correct solution. ![]()

In the browsers that I've used the most, Firefox 2 and 3, there are settings for this under Tools > Options > Tabs. Other browsers probably have something similar but I couldn't tell you how to get to it. It's possible that you pressed some keystroke combination you weren't aware of, that your browser settings got changed somehow, and/or that your computer hiccupped. Occasionally when a page is still loading, the processor is busy and there's a long lag, I'll click on a link where I see it but by the time my browser "sees" the click, the page has changed under it and I find myself being taken someplace I hadn't intended to go. Hope this helps, or at least points you in the right direction. |

That's what I was thinking, and why I sent her to that link too... that she used tools to clear history or something...and accidentally went into tabs options (though that's something I would do, guess not everyone is like me doh)
You could shut the computer off and back on completely and see.

Well today it is working normally again. I have no idea why IE was acting up or why it stopped.
