I've noticed that several post wriers in the different forums use abbreviations and acronyms - most of them I can figure out i.e. pc, pdoc, t or tdoc, ptsd, etc. But BPD is very confusing - some posters mean bipolar disorder and others mean borderline personality disorder. Is there a way of setting up and displaying a PC forum glossary. My suggestion would be BP for bipolar and BPD for borderline personality disorder. Is bipolar even classified as a dis order?

Bipolar is classified as a disorder, yes. The acronym for a disorder usually depends on the forum in which it is being used. In the Bipolar forum, BPD will refer to this rather than borderline personality, for example.
