For a couple of days my drop down menu to New Notifications disappeared and I was taken to some strange page. I was eventually able to view the new notifications by clicking on something.
But, for whatever reason, the drop down menu is back.

I'm not entirely sure what the question is... The dropdown menu will always try and show you what notifications are waiting and where they are.

If that's not working, it is usually 99% of the time a browser issue. Such issues can usually be resolved by either restarting your web browser (or sometimes, the whole computer), and/or clearing your web browser's cache.
