I used to run a little session called "Cyber Safety" back on another large community site, and I decided to test drive the Social Group option of this:
Coping with Technology http://forums.psychcentral.com/group.php?groupid=222 This group will be things dealing with internet safety, ethics of the internet, the psychological nature of people, and overall, anything that deals with psychology and the internet. People are free to join and leave as they wish, leaving messages for people to respond back to later. If the response is well received, I will (or perhaps someone more experienced than myself) start an unofficial chat session for full understanding of Internet Safety weekly. Let me know what you think. |

It sounds like a good idea to me. There are a lot of folks with the concerns you mentioned regarding how the net, technology and social networking can affect our moods and pyschological well being, I look forward to seeing such a group develop and evolve.

As an IT Consultant I'd be very interested in this.
It's just getting the numbers you need to make it worthwhile. RB ♥

I can't say I'm very pleased with where my life is just now... but I can't help but look forward to where it's going." ~JTHM ![]() |
