I performed a search but nothing came up. I have tried to use the quote feature within a thread but cannot capture only part of the post. The entire post copies eventhough I select part of the post. What am I doing wrong?

When you hit quote it will quote the whole post. If you want just a certain part in your quote simply delete everything you don't want.
If you want to quote, then write something, then quote again use the tags (the stuff between the [ ] s). For example (remember, no spaces), [ QUOTE ] iamanne said this... [ / QUOTE ] The text that you want to add or comment on. Then... [ QUOTE ] iamanne said this too... [ / QUOTE ] Get it? Did that make any sense? lol If it didn't let me know and I will try to explain it again.

Sounds good to me 1day!
![]() </font><blockquote><div id="quote"><font class="small">Quote:</font> I have tried to use the quote feature within a thread </div></font></blockquote><font class="post"> To do that I double tapped (I have a notebook) and highlighted that part of your post. I then did a CTL C (control key, "C" for copy) and when I was ready to paste it, after I typed to 1day, and put the quote blocks up like she explained, THEN I hit CTL V (control key, "V" for paste.) Once you try these suggestions, click on preview reply before you "post" and see if it works for you!

I have been haveing the same problem of sorts. My problem is that I can't quote a specific post author. ie...quote=1dayatatime2(it should say "Quote from 1dayatatime2). Not all of the tags are working on this board. ![]() Copy and Paste is where the problem starts.....lol |

However, if you just delete the parts you don't want, it will leave who said your quote. (Or cut and paste after the [ b ] [ / b ] tags)

Hi 1 dayatatime2
Thanks and I agree that you can do that. I was talking about regular Vb codes and HTML tags.(quote tags to be specific) I just think that they aren't enabled on this board is all. No big deal though....lol Example: [ quote=joe] I hate the name Joe[ / quote] You shouldn't have to delete everything else in the post. That reminds me of Java script...lol |
