Hi there,
I use this site on my ipad2, but get only a blank page when I navigate to chat. I know there's a few things I can't do with my iPad (like viewing Flash). Is it impossible for me to chat on PsychCentral with my iPad? Is there an app I need to get? Thanks for any input!

Have the first iPad from almost 2yrs ago.

Also can not access chat on mine, just blank page, don't know about an app.

If had known limitations, like no flash, would have chosen another tablet & saved a lot of money.

Good luck.

Sorry to say, but the iPad does not support flash, which is what the PC chat is run by. There is 1 way around it. There's an app called "Photon." If you use this web browser, it connects you to a server (press the lightning button) and you will be able to use flash, such as PC chat. The only thing is that it's kind of slow and hard to use.

Ha! The above I entered while I was here under the Photon shell! And YES!! I successfully entered Chat from my ancient iPad1!

However, the reason you see the odd greeting at the top is that my touch screen was nearly inoperative. I have no keyboard access whatever. Some things I could tap & others not. Very interesting experience!

But there is some semblance of Flash life within the iPad world. I knew someone would figure it out. Thank you, krisakira. I'm picking up the iPad3 tomorrow (please Applegod, don't run out ... ) and I'm very anxious to try this out on that little darlin'. Wheeeeee......

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab and can't access chat on it either. It says it requires flash, which I tried to download several times and it still never worked lol. I'm guessing tablets just don't have the power to support running chat...yet. Who knows what they'll be capable of in a few years lol

Photon definitely works on iPad. I've spoken with the developer & I was so excited when I was in the Chat Room that I didn't find the Keyboard Icon on the UR cornet of the iPad. That activates the keyboard--I was right, the touchpad doesn't. I've not had time to go back in, but I think that will make it workable. Not I just need to find a chat & try things out.

I don't know about other tablets that don't support Flash.
