How do I post a photo in a social group? I used to be able to do it, but not now.

![]() I think all (most, anyway) of the pics I've posted in social groups, I've first added to the picture collection of that social group. I'm not sure that was necessary, though. When I tried including a pic from one of my albums, never uploaded to any social group, it worked fine (in the preview, anyway). If your pic is from another site, it's possible that the site doesn't allow linking to their pictures from elsewhere. Can you make your pic show up in a forum post, or not? |

I wanted to do this too.
![]() I don't know what picture button they are talking about. I can paste a picture in a post, but not add them to the top of the social group, where it will appear at the top always. I'm still playing with it, when I get the time. ![]()

Beholden, I got pictures loaded to a group finally!
![]() You could create an album just for upload purposes only, if you want. What I did was find the picture on a web page first. When creating the album, I went to "upload pictures". A list of fields for the file names come up. I clicked "Browse", and copied the link for that photo into the "file name" field. Then I picked "html" for "file type". I clicked "open", then it showed up in the list of files to upload. The path was a temporary Internet folder on the hard drive. Then, "upload picture." Once you get the pictures uploaded, you can select "Add pictures to Social Group." Checkboxes will appear next to all of the pictures. Then check the ones you want, and from a drop down menu of Social Groups, pick the one you want to add pictures to. (It seems you can only upload to social groups you are a member of.) That's the only way I know of as to how to do it. I'm not very savvy with this, so I'm proud of myself that I figured it out even if there's a lot of steps involved! ![]() As far as adding a picture in the POST (or message) itself, I've done a copy & paste, and that worked. But it could depend on the picture. I've never used the picture button on the tool bar, but I'm guessing you'd paste the link into it. Hope this helps you. ![]() ![]() |
