Hi chloesq, welcome to Psych Central!

All new members are in moderation at first. That means nothing you posted would have appeared on the boards until one of the moderators had had a chance to read and approve it. We do this to guard against spammers and the like. By now you have way more than enough posts, so everything you submit should be showing up immediately.

Usually, when posting or Private Messaging, you have a choice of two buttons, one that says "Post" (or "Submit") and one that says "Preview" or "Go Advanced". The preview lets you see what your post will look like with all the formatting and smilies in place (if they weren't already) and to make changes if you want before submitting it.

After posting, you ordinarily have a four-hour time window during which you can edit your own posts. Look for an "Edit" button to the lower right of your post. You can preview when you're editing, too. Look for the "Go Advanced" button when you're in editing mode.
Thanks for this!

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
