I asked a moderator a week or so back if it was okay to post in the BPD forum who would be interested in joining a chat. We've got a pretty good group going right now and I thought it would be something cool to try. I was told it was okay provided I make it clear that it was not a PC sponsored event. I've had a pretty good response and we're going to try to do it on Sunday. We're just all going to meet in the lobby and then meander to an empty room. My question is, is there a way to set up a chat room just for us in the future if this should go well. We all feel comfortable within PC, and we all have relationship issues so I would like to do all of this within PC. If anyone could give me instructions on how to do this, if it's possible, or direct me where to go to get the info, that would be great. If it can't be done, that would be nice to know too. Thanks.

Quote:
"You use the door icon to enter another room in the chat area. It also gives you a chance to create your own private room. "Create Room." If you click on that, you can give your room a Title that will show on the chat room listing. It gives you a place to put what your room is going to discuss, if anything thematic, and it also gives an option of creating a password. You don't have to use the password option for your room, allowing anyone to enter. If you choose a passworded private room, you'll need to be sure to give the password out to the other members you've invited to your room. Only those members who have the password (which is requested when they click on the private room to enter) will be able to enter your chat. Having a private room also allows you, the creator, to control it. You can "warn" any member who acts up or out of line, and you can "boot" them from your chat room is they upset your chat. A private room closes when the last person leaves." my understanding is anyone at any time can make their own chat rooms. |
