from looking it seems that those who just joined today and have 1 post are newly joined; those who joined today with 2 posts are new members, and those who joined before today with 1 post have become new members - so it connects with both posting and with time as a member

Here's how it's supposed to work, but the system may sometimes fall a little behind on tallying posts and assigning titles.

Yes you can. Once you reach 2000 (or it might be 3000) posts.

Crying isn't a sign of weakness. It's a sign of having tried too hard to be strong for too long.

Thanx. So either I need to post A LOT, or stop posting, cuz soon I'll be a poobah, and I know what it means and where it comes from but I simply think it's icky to be referred to as poo.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
