how come i can not change it from "under a rock" to where i really am?

Can you please provide us with more information to help us troubleshoot your problem? What exactly is the problem you're having? You try and change it in Edit Your Details and it doesn't take, or....?

Go to 'edit your details' which is 1st on the list. Scroll to 'location' and type what you want...then scroll all the way down and click 'save'. That should change it. I often forget how to change things too.
