On behalf of a young new member BrittneyShaye...I'm asking...

How many posts before one can enter chat?

No-one has answered her...I need the info

Sorry to use up a thread...but da bobbin is big enuff I figures and I want an answer. Shuffled off her post was, to somewhere that gets buggerall traffic it seems.

No answers suddenly becomes no member...not a good thing seeing as how people come here for help.

Blah blah...yeah...well anyway...for my future reference...how many posts?

Also, as a reminder to our new members, you need at least 5 approved posts before you can enter chat. Chat is a membership benefit to our community, and we want people to know who you are before you can gain access to chatting.

I got that from the Community Feedback and Technical Support forum under the chat how to section.
Thanks for this!

I'm a giddy hyper bugger RDV...I should have known that info was there...Thank you tho! That member had 7 posts...she likely went on to chat. I was just worried as no-one seemed to have been speaking with her.

One sees people come and go here...sometimes because they don't connect...for many reasons I suppose. Was feeling antsy and wanted to help her find a space to fit in.

Thanks for your help. I used to spend time greeting newbies...gave it up...I should do a that a little more. Thanks again.

I have popped in to welcome the newbies, but I rarely go into that forum (not just here, but any site), not because I don't feel welcoming to newbies, but because I'm the type of person who just prefers to "jump in" to a conversation and say hi while I'm at it. If I'm the newbie, that's usually what I do, unless the board has a mandatory "hello" message requirement. People will get to know me quickly by the content of my posts. I also find you get to know more people that way, because others are often like me and don't jump to the forum to welcome all the newbies, especially when there are lots of newbies every day like here.

I know I don't open very many threads just because I fear getting no answer. Even though it probably isn't the case I feel like if I don't get a response then my problem is trivial and everyone that looked at it dismissed it and I'm just bothering people. I have been told my entire life by my family that what I have to say isn't important and that my feelings don't matter. When I don't get an answer it validates that in my head. When I am mentally able I always look at posts that have 0 comments. If I can add anything even just a "can't be of help but I wanted you to know someone was listening" then I do.

I hope she was able to get into chat and find a place here
Hugs from:

The Community Feedback & Technical Support forum is a good place to ask questions such as this...
