I'm not sure what has happened, but when I went to change my mood, the cursor wouldn't click on it & cause it to bring down the options so I can select a different mood.

I thought the option to change it used to be right under my welcome, username & the "your notifications:" but that seems to have changed also.....hadn't really paid much attention to it until I was thinking about changing it & couldn't get it to change

Have you tried both?

Only way I could get to it through my user control panel was to hit "my profile".....the only place it showed up.....there wasn't an item in my user control panel that accessed the mood control.....it accesses the daily mood tracker....but that's not what changes the actual mood we choose to put up for ourselves........ Couldn't get the cursor to be active over the mood like it always has been in the past.

The link I posted above is the one from "My Profile": http://forums.psychcentral.com/usercp.php

I'm attaching a screen shot (cropped) of the mood changer I get on that page, the one that used to work for me when the other one didn't seem to. As I understand it, this mood changer does show up for you, but then what? Does it do anything?

I cleared history, cookies & almost everything that could be cleared.....did all my updates....shut off my computer....brought it back up again.....I always use google chrome.

When I go to my profile, the mood I have that I sat to amazed quite awhile ago shows up.....but when I put the cursor over it, it does absolutaly NOTHING....completely inactive......there is no scroll down menu that show. It's like it's stuck on the one that & set months ago.

Ok, this is STRANGE......somehow, I scrolled down to the bottom of the first page you go to when you hit the button My Profile that has the list of threads I'm linked to........& at the very bottom of that page is where I ended up finding the place to actually change my mood.

Wow, when did it move there???????

I am using the tulip screen......don't know if it's change for that & not the others.....but it was quite a surprise to me when I accidentally scrolled down that far on the page & found that the mood change selection down there.....

At least that question is solved.....just not explained....lol.

It's been there for years (what Fooze was referring to in his reply above), as an alternative to the javascript mood changer on every page. Glad you found it.

When you go to this page...
http://forums.psychcentral.com/usercp.php
...what do you see there?

For instance, what's there for me (after the header, page title, and menu bar stuff across the top) is:

-- "Your Control Panel" down the left side

-- A section titled "New Subscribed Threads: (1)"

-- A section titled "Change Your Mood"

... and then the "Forum Jump" control and the footers.

Hmmmmmmm......Fooze, was thinking the screens are different depending on which form we use.....I have the tulip one & it doesn't have the format that you describe either.

Using foxfire also, I am now able to change my mood by clicking on my current mood which shows up right under the the line about my private message's.

When I was having problems, I finally found that the only place I could change my mood from was at the bottom of my actual profile page......had to go down to the bottom of that to make my mood change......I was using google chrome when it was that way.

Wonder how much is dependent on the style chosen & the internet driver being used also??????

Could you describe what's on that page you were looking at? Did you get to it from the link I posted in #10, or some other way?

This page? The one with the "Visitor Messages", "About Me" and "Statistics" tabs?

Or this page, the one you get when you click on the "My Profile" button?

I got it from jumping to the link you provided, It's sort of what you described......one has to scroll way down to get to the "change mood" section.

However now (which was what I was used to before), I can click on my actual set mood & that brings up the ability to change my mood right from there. That was what I was used to happening before without having to scroll all the way to the bottom of that page......don't know if that's because I changed back to using firefox.....it didn't seem to work that way when I was dealing with google chrome.......which was the time when I didn't realize that the actual change mood area was at the bottom of that page.
