I can't get a few games to load from the arcade, games which last year I had no problem playing.

I always use a new window and have clicked on settings both local and global to see what may have changed. I have made sure that my computer allows this site and the arcade to store info, and have set storage space to maximum (I have a 500 GB HD, 6 GB Ram) and have also cleared caches, just in case.

Two of the games that won't load are Scrabble and Scramble. The game will come up in the new window but sits there with 0% loading showing.

Any ideas what else I need to look at on settings?

Whatever you did removed ALL my scores from all the games.

I was in second place overall... and have to begin again?

Whatever was done made things worse.

thanks for the effort... but now my scores won't register. I thought maybe it was because it still listed me as having the all time high scores... but no, even on say, Worm Race, where none of my data shows, it won't take any of my scoring.

I sure hope you can fix the arcade up good like you always have before. Don't make it go away (I know it's a big bother, but very much appreciated here.)

Ive been able to post a few games' scores now... But too few games are cooperating.

We removed the games that no longer were loading properly.

While we had initially made a change in the way scoring was done with "auto-pruning" enabled (which supposedly would remove only older high scores allowing new high scores to happen), that apparently caused some problems, so we turned that back off.

I am still having issues... sorry.

Some of the games that do score me, are giving me a new line each time I score the game, instead of replacing the former high score, or ignoring the lower score and not posting it.

Other games are not scoring me at all, even though when I check the "high scores" listing, I am no where on there (including _Sky)... I suppose the boards lack of fully switching my SN from _Sky to (JD) has something to do with it ... but even on some where I did not have "all time high" score...

IDK whether to just go with it or to try and itemized what games are doing what...

which do you prefer???

JD........ did those games ever give you high scores?

We can't fix the games that have never given high scores unfortunately.

Yes, all those in the "W" area were working for me in some fashion and giving me scores... I did have the high score in some of them.

There are a few other games that aren't working for me, though others are playing them and being scored (like Quick Words)

There are also games that are listing me over and over each time I play, rather than just the highest score I make.

Sorry, I don't think we can fix it for the games that aren't registering. For some reason, they are just not sending the score to the forums in order to register it. It's not clear why this may be working for some but not others... maybe has something to do with the web browser or Flash version? Dunno and doesn't look like it can be easily fixed. Sorry.

Possibly when you "updated" or whatever changes were made in the initial effort, the system (gaming) needs IE? I use Firefox, and always have in the arcade... so unless aresmars or others are using IE and having new troubles too, that could be it.

My forte is word games, that you type the letters (not use a mouse) to answer... none of those are working in the arcade now for me...so if you should find some others that would be great.

are the general guidelines i use to prevent this error 99% of the time on my board.

1. increase your session timeouts in vbulletin settings (around 30 mins is good unless a game takes longer to play)
2. make sure holdsession.php is uploaded and in the right place.
3. inform your members to use the remember me box when they log in
4. inform your members not to use the refresh or back buttons in their browser to start a new game.
5. inform your members to only play 1 game at a time

I used to get nothing but complaints of the same error, but since following these guidelines the error has all but disappeared.

My problem is due to my .htaccess file. I have /index.php redirected to / and when it tries to save the score, it redirects to /?act=Arcade&do=newscore rather than /index.php?act=Arcade&do=newscore which causes it not to save the score.

Is there anyway to either change something where it saves the score to /?act=Arcade&do=newscore (no index.php) or a RewriteCond I can use in the .htaccess file to work around this problem?

Here is basically what I'm using in my .htaccess file, if I remove this part, the scores save. I need the scores to save and the functionality of this to remain the same.

When Highscore gets saved it takes the game ID as Key, but also other Infos get submitted. So the Guess is, that here this Filter also takes Action and prevendes then the Saving.

DocJohn, One thing else I've noticed is that on comment lines after it does score, it blocks the "or" in any word (like for, score...showing only "f" etc)

It did score me on Word Craze (my fav!) but it showed this instead of the game page:
