I would like to know if there could be an atheist forum, for those who are against spiritualism and religion, get triggered by religion or just are atheist or agnostic and also want support from fellow atheists about reason, logic, science, and evidence to back up our truths and so we can support each other through talking about stigma and how hard it is to be an atheist these days, and how family members might say we are going to hell. I need a place where I can discuss the religious abuse I endured and why it brought me to atheism, without a christian telling me to go to god instead. Thanks for the consideration.

There isn't a forum, but there is a group that goes along the lines you describe above.

Could we additionally have a specified sub-forum for it please?
Thanks for this!

I remember a thread a little while back arguing that there wouldn't be much for an atheist forum to actually talk about (!) whilst i agree to a certain extent, there does need to be (if there isn't already) something that allows people to discuss and support each other when it comes to science, abuse and intolerance etc. Providing the board is kept respectful as well as tolerant (after all respect works both ways) than this is something i would happily support.
Thanks for this!

It would be a safe place where we could go away from religious stuff if that is triggering to us.

personally, i am tired of God being the only "approved" spirituality on this site. it seems only fair and equitable that those of us who don't beg daddy for what we want have a place to talk about those deeper issues.

Folks, you're welcomed to start a social group, and have enough members join the social group where you can start your own forum.

But since this is not a religious site, we're not starting more forums on or for specific religions or "against" religions or the idea of religion here. Since spirituality is an important component of many people's recovery, that is the one exception we make.

Thanks,
DocJohn

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
